Video of the Week: Noah And The Whale, “Waiting For My Chance To Come”

Noah and the Whale is often placed in the English folk revivalist camp most prominently occupied by Mumford & Sons, but their take on it is a bit less manic, more nuanced yet still broad in scope. Personally, they remind me a bit of another UK act from many years back, Hothouse Flowers. Either way their Last Night On Earth album is a solid collection, and they have just issued a new video for “Waiting For My Chance To Come,” off that set. It’s a fairly conventional band-on-boat shoot made more intriguing by a few twists–what’s “The Hangman Foundation,” for one, and where can I get a pair of those British Flag socks?
