I’ve been enamored with the music of Amanda Shires since her 2009 debut, and her latest album Carrying Lightning, released earlier this year, is another batch of Dolly/Emmylou 70’s country-inspired great tunes. NPR recently featured her and playing partner Rod Picott in one of their “Tiny Desk Concert” videos, and it’s a wonderful introduction to Shires’ music and voice.

i’m a big fan of amanda shires and was SO looking forward to this video. but, at least for me, it wont stream for more than 3 seconds at a time- then sit for 8-10 seconds. i’m blaming it on my player…. i guess. ~j~
