The seven-piece chamber-pop Seattle band Hey Marseilles has been around since 2006, and they self-released the wonderful Travels & Trunks back in 2008, but it just got re-released on a national scale by their new management company, Fuzed Music. If you love The Decemberists, the Great Lake Swimmers, or Jump, Little Children, Hey Marseilles will be a welcome addition to your iTunes playlist.
The band has issued some sweet packages with all kinds of extras you can get with the newly reissued CD at their website (www.heymarseilles.com), and check out this very cool new video for “Rio” (not the Duran Duran classic).
