The MusicArt of James Plakovic

Rummaging around on Google images tonight for a new header image to go with this new theme I’m trying out, I found the fascinating art of James Plakovic. He calls it “MusicArt” because the images are created with actual musical scores, the notes forming the ‘lines’ of the image–not only that, but the scores are actually playable musical pieces.

The sliver in the header above is from “World Beat Music”:

The music for that one is especially apropos, very sad and haunting. For more of these images and the sound files that go with them, check out the gallery on Plakovic’s website, which includes these two plus many more from the Beatles to a Warhol style campbell’s soup can.
