Charleston, South Carolina band Crowfield has been toying with “next big thing” status out of their home state since the independent release of Goodbye, Goodnight, So Long Midwestern introduced their rootsy rock sound, a cross between mid-tempo Tom Petty and the emotionally charged anthems of the Avett Brothers.
The band recently signed a deal with Universal/Republic (the same label that also signed Columbia, SC group Villanova this year) to release singles through their distribution channels, and the initial offering under that deal is “Movin’ On,” a song the band has played live for over a year.
